Your band Dada fills the empty phrase »Pop« with its own meaning. With a light stroke she draws connecting lines between different musical styles and thus draws the framework of her sound idea. Modern songwriting, improvisation and warm vocalisms, lyrical harmony and a feel for the pulse of the times come together; close to people and far away from plastic pop. The band Dada took two years to transform Fola's German lyrics into music. The musicians move at such a high level of harmony and rhythm that they are free to decide whether a song will wrap the listener in a cozy blanket or shake their legs. Dada forges fine and artistic structures from the brittle alloy of the German language.

The songs tackle difficult things with lightness and tell modern fairy tales that are about love, addictions and longings, hope and hopelessness and are entertaining at the same time. The lyrical power of the texts is free of pathos or romantic transfiguration and combines what has been experienced with what has been imagined. In a society in which only the surface shines, Dada shows appropriate depth. And in this band, in which a woman and three men come together, femininity is allowed to show gentle dominance.

Dada are Fola Dada (vocals), Mathias Grosch (keys), Martin Simon (bass) and Daniel Schild (drums). Illustrious guests such as the guitarists Frank Kuruc and Daniel Stelter and the trumpeter Volker Degelmann round off this thoroughly successful CD production. Fola Dada has been one of the most sought-after singers on the German scene for many years. She is the front woman of the project of the legendary bassist "Hattler", but has also been heard in productions and tours by Joy Denalane, Cassandra Steen, Max Herre and Edo Zanki. She is now also a vocal coach at Deutschland sucht den Superstar (DSDS) and a lecturer at the Stuttgart University of Music. But she is also a great lyricist and composer.

She and her band took two years to create this CD, resulting in a timeless, wonderfully produced record full of beautiful details. This was only possible thanks to an excellent band, all sought-after studio musicians from Mannheim, with whom she has been playing for many years since studying together at the Jazz University: Martin Simon (bass, also with the Sarah Kaiser Band, the Brazilian Jazz Band COCADA, among others , Olaf Schönborn's Q4), Daniel Schild (drums) and Mathias Grosch (keyboards). Grosch also enjoys an excellent reputation as a producer and, in addition to this CD, has already produced for Xavier Naidoo, Cassandra Steen, Kosho and even Vicky Leandros.
